Chamonix – Mt. Blanc | France

The Chamonix – Mt. Blanc valley is mythical, unique and incomparable, it is a land of legend crammed full of history and sporting feats, a natural environment that will take your breath away. The birthplace of modern alpinism and home of some of the most iconic ski runs (and lifts) in the world.

We were able to get in a few days of skiing here in advance of the start of the Haute Route with legendary guide Stephane “Fan Fan” Dan where we set out for the goods off the Aiguille du Midi cable car, Le Tour and Courmayeur Italy and the Tour Ronde.

Sadly climate change is melting the famous glaciers at a record pace and many will not survive over the next 50 years.
